My Illuminator 10 year battery (Khaki) is 6 months old, and got all messed up last Friday.

The day and date cannot be coordinated: either right date, wrong day, or right right day, wrong date.

I toggled through the 24 hour mode, and still shows Monday and today's date, the 6th.

Casio's system makes it much more complicated than it needs to be, so I'm not surprised you're having a problem like this, sir.

In the Timekeeping Mode, hold down A until the seconds start to flash, which indicates the setting screen.

Do you have the setting you want to change flashing now? Should be day.

cannot click on anything in those numbers; not day, date etc

You have to press C to increase the setting. Holding down C changes the setting at high speed.

So after you got the seconds to flash, you clicked on B to move the flashing to Day of week, correct?

Can you check what year your Watch is set up to? Maybe that's why the system messes up.

After you have the seconds flash, click on B until you have the YEAR setting up.

It's working fine now! Saved me from discarding a $27 watch but I like it.
