Could you clarify, please, what you mean by DVD printing?
My printer prints to CD/DVD. When asking it to print from a theatre ticket PDF, the printer wants to print to a DVD and refuses to print from the PDF
The print preview is showing as if it is going to print on a DVD
May I ask you to take a screenshot of your screen when you open the document you are trying to print, please?

Thank you, got it, but I need to see the menu. Could you try these steps, first, please?
Here are the steps you can follow:
1. Open the PDF file you want to print.
2. Click on the Print button or select File > Print from the menu.
3. In the Print dialog box, check the settings for the printer, paper size, and orientation.
4. Look for a dropdown menu or option for "Media Type" or "Paper Source."
5. Make sure that the correct paper source is selected. It should be set to "Plain Paper" or a similar option, not "CD/DVD."
A4 paper is selected on the print dialog box.
Okay, let's try to reset your printer to its default settings.
1. Press the home icon on your printer's control panel, if necessary.
2. Select Settings > Restore Default Settings.
3. Select All Settings
4. You see a confirmation screen.
5. Select Yes to reset the selected settings.
Sorry, this hasn't fixed it. The print preview box remains the same as before. I wonder if there is printer failure.
Could you take a photo of the dialog box in the same way, please?
OK. one minute please.

Is there anything about DVD at the very bottom of this menu?
And also, are there any other options when you click on the Printer drop-down list or just XP-970 Series(Network)?
No
Does any other window appear when you click 'Print'?
Woohoo, we've done it. You are genius.
Did you change any settings?
Yes, there was a link at the bottom of the dialog box. I clicked Ctrl/shift/P and another box came up. Then I clicked preferences and it gave me the choice to click on A4
Good! Is there anything else I could help you with?
No, no more issues thank you. Bye now.
