I have an ET-2720 printer and paper I was printing just jammed inside where I can't reach it!

What do I do?

Short summary:

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source to prevent any electrical accidents.
  2. Open the front cover of the printer, which can be located by following the manufacturer's instructions or by checking the user manual.
  3. Gently remove any visible jammed paper from the printer. Be careful not to tear the paper or touch any internal components of the printer.
  4. If the paper is not visible, try to reach it from the front or the back of the printer.
  5. If the paper is still not visible, try to move the print carriage gently with your hands to expose the jammed paper.
  6. Once the paper has been removed, turn on the printer and try to print a test page to ensure the printer is functioning properly.
  7. If the printer still displays a paper jam error message, try loading A4 size paper in the rear paper feed slot to remove any remaining paper.
  8. Follow the manufacturer's instructions or the user manual to load the A4 paper into the rear paper feed slot.
  9. Turn on the printer and try to print a test page again to ensure the printer is functioning properly.

Hello, thank you for using Howly.
Could you please describe, where is the paper jam located?

Customer Replay

It seems to be in the middle -- I can barely feel the paper on the left side, but not much on the right, so can't grasp it to try to pull it out.

Could you please open the front cover, how it is shown in the picture I send you?

Ok, I opened it, and can see it better. But it seems to be stuck on the right side.

I see
Could you please gently remove the paper, or still can't reach it? Also, be careful and gently doing it, and try not to touch these parts, as shown in the photo

My daughter is slowly removing tiny bits of the paper, but do you know if a printer ever has a release button for this kind of problem? Or a way to make it reverse direction?

I'm sorry to tell you that, but there is no button of this kind. After your daughter finish to remove the paper, you'll need try to print sth and see if the problem still occurs

Now the printer says "paper remains inside. Load A4 size paper in rear paper feed slot to remove the paper.

Could you please follow this instruction?

Customer Replay

ok, but is A4 size paper just regular paper?

A piece of A4 paper measures 21 x 29.7 cm or 210 x 297 mm.

Customer Replay
