I googled the problem, and went through the steps of recovering an account, but it ended up just taking me to my other Gmail account that I still have and not recovering the old one

2. Enter the email, then click "Next".
3. Instead of entering your password, click "Try another way"
4. Enter the phone number.
5. Choose the option "Send a code".
6. If you don't have access to the phone number, please choose the option "Try another way" and follow the on-screen instructions.
But be sure to put in the right email address

That's the address for the account I need. I deleted it a while back. Could it just be to long since I deleted it to recover it?
