Nice to meet you, *****!
So you want to change the port for your laptop?
Customer Reply
Yes. Current port has positional functionality only not fixed with purchase of new cord

So you have bought a new charger for laptop and it did not fit?
Customer Reply
I bought a new recharge cord which fit just fine but it has the same problem as the old cord. It will only recharge after jiggling it around to make positive contact. It's getting more difficult to find that sweet spot and I'm afraid I will soon be unable to recharge laptop.

It seems like it is a hardware issue, for that matter you need to contact local tech repair service and ask them to replace the port
Do you know where is the nearest tech repair service or do you want me to find it for you?
Customer Reply
I spoke with a repair person who told me that if the recharge port is soldered in place it cannot be repaired. Thus I need to know if Acer solders this part in place. The cost to send someone out to open up my computer and check is $100.
