I went by the instructions to reset the pin. If I knew how to trouble shoot we wouldnt be haveing this conversation.

Ill work on that, is there a way to light the key board, its very hard to see in my office.
It depends on whether this feature is available on your computer, may I ask you, do you see any icons on the F5 key on your physical keyboard?

So, usually, you have to press FN + F5 buttons at the same time on all HP Pavilion computers, in order to light up the keyboard
