By the way my service with Spectrum is onlyfor internet. I have an independent phone service with Magic Jack not in anyway connected with Spectrum.
Also. the Spectrum technician indicated that Magic Jack needs to update the software that runs with my MJ service to recognize the new modem since the previous software services the old modem that was replaced.
Firmware is the software found within the MagicJack device itself. Occasionally, this firmware may need to be updated.
