My tracfone is not charging, what could the problem be?

Short summary:

  1. Check the brand and model of your smartphone. In this case, the client's smartphone is TCL30z.
  2. Perform basic troubleshooting.
  3. Connect the smartphone to a wall charger. Sometimes, phones may not charge properly when connected to a computer. Connect the phone to a wall charger and see if it charges.
  4. If the phone is still not charging, disconnect it from the wall charger and turn it off.
  5. Reconnect the phone to the wall charger after it has been turned off.
  6. Wait for approximately 5-7 minutes while the phone is connected to the charger.
  7. Check the battery percentage. If the phone is showing a low battery percentage, continue waiting until it reaches a minimum of 20%. This is an important symbol indicating the phone's charging status.
  8. Once the battery percentage reaches 20% or higher, turn on the phone.
  9. Check if the battery percentage remains the same when the phone is turned on. If it remains the same, proceed to the next step.
  10. Wait and observe if the battery percentage increases while the phone is turned on and connected to the charger.
  11. If the battery percentage starts increasing while the phone is on, then the charging issue has been resolved.
