My Kindle screen froze yesterday while I was reading

I cannot turn the Kindle off and the page is still frozen on the screen. Can you help?

Please do the following:
Press and hold the power button until either a power dialog box appears or the screen goes blank.
Continue holding the power button for 40 seconds, then release.

A frozen Kindle may be the result of a low battery. If you know that your Kindle is low on charge at the time it locks up, connect the device to a power source.

I have recharged the Kindle. The battery is definitely fully charged.

the next step is :
Slide and hold the power switch until the light blinks. Release it and wait a couple seconds. Then do the same thing again. Your Kindle should reboot.

Be aware for the future, that this method works!
The main reason of freeze is low battery
