You can't call from your iPhone, right?
I am 82 years old and my phone quit ringing it will show inhave a call coming in if i am looking at the phone

- Select "Sounds & Haptics"
- Check the volume of the ringtone and alert

Also check the silent mode switch on the left side of the phone, it should be towards the top
