I've been trying to get this fixed all morning

My account had been hacked, they fixed it. Now when people log onto the weekly meeting it says "the host already has a meeting in progress". I already pay for zoom and shouldnt have to pay for help with a problem that is coming from your end

Hello, thank you for contacting Howly! I am here to help you today! May I know your first name, please?

Nice to meet you, *****!
Could you please specify the account was hacked?

Customer Replay

Yes but I got that fixed and was able to keep all the same information but now it says "host has another meeting in progress" when people try to log on. I just need this FIXED

We are Howly- an online expert question and answer website that connects users with verified technical experts that can assist with any tech-related issue. We're not affiliated with account you're trying to fix, that's I'm asking you to specify it

Zoom

Okay, thanks
Could you please open your Zoom app. Do you see any ongoing meetings there?

Customer Replay

I just have one zoom meeting set up and I am the host. I am looking at it now
Is this different than a zoom app?

No, it is not. In case you have already a meeting, other people can only connect to the current meeting
They won't be able to connect to another scheduled meeting without you

Customer Replay

That is the problem. When I hit the button that says start meeting. The meeting starts. The people who are on the meeting usually now see a response that says" the host already has a meeting in progress" this is wrong. I should see them tryng to enter and I admit them. This is not happening.

Are you sure you have sent them correct link to join your meeting?
It can be different each time you start the meeting

Customer Replay

Yes
It has never been different before. I have been hosting this meeting for months.

Is it possible to delete the current meeting at all and create a new one?

Customer Replay

I dont know how to do that. That was the whole point of the zoom lady fixing it last time.
I dont want to confuse people at this point.

Unfortunately, we can't get remote control to your PC, so we can't make it by ourselves. Let me check it

Customer Replay

Do you need info from me to do this?

banner 9

Not really
Click on Upcoming in the Zoom app. This will list all upcoming meetings you have scheduled or for users that you have scheduling privilege for. You can click on the meeting to start the meeting, edit the settings, delete the meeting,

Customer Replay

I do not want to delete the meeting. I should not have to do that because then I'll have to send out all new meeting information

Do you see other meetings there?

Customer Replay

This is the only meeting that I have

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click Schedule
  3. This will open the scheduler window where you can select your meeting settings.
  4. Click Advanced Options.
  5. Check Allow participants to join anytime. You can select 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, or Anytime.
  6. Click Schedule.
Try to turn on this option to allow them visit your meeting anytime

Where is the Zoom desktop client?

It is the Zoom app exactly

Customer Replay

Ok i did that but did that change my zoom meeting number and password? It looks different. I dont want to change that.

You can edit your meeting details. Here's how:
Click on the Meetings, Upcoming tab, find and select the meeting, then click Edit

Customer Replay

Ok in the Schedule meeting section I selected my personal meeting id. The passcode is the same Clicked on waiting room so I can admit them and finally i went under advanced options and clicked all participants to join anytime. I'lll save that and that should do it?

Customer Replay

Ok wish me luck.

Good luck!
