I want to find the source of an email address

Short summary:

  1. Open your web browser and go to the Gmail website (www.gmail.com).
  2. Log in to your Gmail account using your email address and password.
  3. Once you are logged in, locate the email you received from the suspicious email address *****@deeplinkvip.com in your inbox.
  4. Select the email by clicking on the checkbox beside it. If there are multiple emails from the same address, you can select all of them.
  5. After selecting the email(s), look for the "Report Spam" button in the Gmail toolbar. It typically appears as a "flag" or "exclamation mark" icon.
  6. Click on the "Report Spam" button to report the email(s) as spam. This action will help Gmail identify similar messages and potentially prevent them from reaching your inbox in the future.
  7. You may see a prompt confirming the action and asking if you want to unsubscribe from the sender. In this case, it's advisable not to click on the unsubscribe option, as it could potentially confirm your email address to the sender. Simply proceed with reporting the email as spam.
  8. Once you have reported the email(s) as spam, Gmail will move them to the Spam folder. You can find the Spam folder in the left sidebar of your Gmail interface.
  9. If you ever receive any more emails from the same sender, they will be automatically routed to the Spam folder instead of your inbox. It's important to note that you should exercise caution when interacting with emails in the Spam folder, as they are considered potentially unsafe or unwanted.

I want to trace the following individual who has sent me an email from: *****@deeplinkvip.com

Got you!
You have received some suspicious messages from this e-mail address, am I correct?

Customer Replay

I have received a message from a company called WarriorDeals trying basically to sell various technical products and when I attempt to respond to the above address it is not sent

Customer Replay

I was also blocked from viewing information from a link they provided

Understood!
Please note that there is a chance that the message itself is a scam message since deeplinkvip.com has a medium-low trust score. I would recommend you to report the message.

Customer Replay

So I would like to know full details of the individual who wrote - namely ***** - to whom should I report the message

Please note that you can report it from your inbox. Was the message sent to *****@gmail.com ?

Customer Replay

yes that was where the message was sen to

Got you!
Do you check your inbox on the Gmail website?

Customer Replay

Yes and that shows the email address I already detailed to you and that also rejects my answer
or rather appears not to send the message

OK I found the Report Spam button and pressed it

Perfect! Messages from the same sender might be sent to Spam in the future.

Customer Replay

Is there a way for me to view these message because the button I pressed also implied that it would unsubscribe me

If there are any messages from this e-mail address in the future, you can find them in the Spam folder, however, I would not recommend interacting with such messages.

Customer Replay

OK thank you for your help - that will be all for the moment - can I connect you directly if I have subsequent associated questions
