Hello, thank you for using Howly. Iโll be happy to help you out! May I ask your name?
*****
Nice to meet you, *****!
Forgot one more thing
Would you be so kind to tell me more about that issue? Do you want to restore your Google account right now or something else?
I tried to sign up with Upworks - they had an account with my gmail - but I never opened one.
Also I recently opened another Gmail account so I could use it for specific sites.
Ok
And what do you want from us exactly, *****?
I am afraid to try to check everything by myself. Step by step so I know what to do next.
Ok, so what do you want to check first?
I do know I need to call Metro with another phone so they can hook up my wi-fi. they said they could tell me what wi fi I am on.
Can you tell the wi fi I am on??
You can check it yourself, *****. Do you want to check it on your computer or phone?
Thank you for your patience. This is very upsetting. The woman doing this is crazed.
Could you check both please
Also there are a bunch of sites for hacking prevention - can you recomment
recommend
From my side, I can't check anything, *****. You need to do it yourself. I'll follow your instructions in this chat.
On your computer: Select the Start button, then type settings Network and Sharing Center and click on it
Next to Connections, you'll see your Wi-Fi network name
I have the new settings menu I can click on One Drive, Windows, Rewards or Web Browser
Ok, let's try another way
ready
In the right bottom of your screen do you see one of the icons like on this image?
got it . Clicked on Network etc
What Network Name do you see there?
I clicked on Ethernet - says Network 6
Can you send me the screenshot in this chat, *****?

Do you have Wi-Fi on your computer or you're connected via Ethernet cable?
I have Xfinity internet - no cable TV - not sure what it;s called
Do you have a Wi-Fi router in your house, correct?
Yes - I unplugged it today to see if my phone would hook up. It didn;t, but my tablet is on Xfinity wi fi
That;s why Metro thinks it's on another wi fi
Do you have an Android smartphone or iPhone?
android
OnePlus Nord N200 5G
Can you open the Settings there and tell me what Wi-Fi is currently connected?
None shows
It shows it is on, but nothing is shown
When I try to put the password in for mine - it just sits there and doesn't even try to send it
Ok
Where do you try to put your password exactly?
Available passwords - click on mine - put it in the password space, make sure it is correct, but keyboard just sits, doesn't sent
Ok,
On your Android can you open the Settings app?
Originally I had my screen locked with a pin that I never put in or found out what it was - that;s why the reset

Do you see the Wi-Fi option there?

Ok, click on Wi-Fi
All looks likeMetro by T Mobile. What am I looking for??
Looked at Users and Accounts - says multiple users, -- me and Guest

Great
Google is driving me nuts - I have to put my paswords in now a million times a day
On your computer, you're connected to your internet. Everything is fine.
I still have the two email accounts
Ok
What do you want to do next with them?
Hooray and thank you. Now - what sites or what wording for a Google search for making sure I dont get hacked - especially on my phone. There is no way I accidentally put a four digit pin in two times.
I'm sorry. What do you mean by "what sites or what wording for a Google search"?
I need step by step and/or apps to know/prevent hacking. Not sure if you can recommend a site. AND = what can I do about Upworks - I tried throught the site, thru Messenger - finally put a post on FB saying it was a fraud account with my email, but got nothing back
Can you send me the screenshot of this email?
Of course, the FB post was taken down. I have a copy of what I put on their Messenger - give me a minute and I will search me email to see if I did get a response
Ok, take your time
No email - this is what I posted on Messenger, but got a reply that it wouldn't be read. ------I need someone to contact me as soon as possible. My phone was hacked, I tried to open an account as a client with your company and found my email is already in use. That account is fraudulent. I can be called thru FB Messenger
Ok, *****.
I don;t think they showed an email, either, but I will go back to the site and send one.
Thanks
Back to anti-hacking info - any recommendations
JJSpy looked interesting, but there is so much stuff out there
I dont have a lot of money/income either
Just use a firewall, install antivirus software, use complex passwords, keep your OS, apps, and browser up-to-date, ignore spam, and back up your data,
Phone too??? How did someone put that pin lock on my phone???
I can't tell you an exact answer, *****, without examining your whole phone.
But the same rules for phone will help you to secure your data.
OK - no problem. At least things are safe now. I will call Metro to get onto wi-fi. Thanks, so much, Hanna. After the vandalism a couple months ago - I get scared.
Is there a survey I can take for you???
I am so pleased to see your issue got resolved!
