Nice to meet you, *****!
You have installed your TV right?

Customer Replay

My TV is eight or nine years old. Whenever I tried hooking up the cable the picture with snowy when I turned it on. How do I get my picture back? The cable people say that I have Internet connection

Do you know the exact model?

Customer Replay

I do not. I know hon I bought it nine years ago that there was an auto run that I had to do but I do not remember how to get to that.

When you turn it on, what do you see?

Customer Replay

A snowy screen

Got it. Do you have any additional devices that are connected to the TV?

Customer Replay

Just my Internet service with AT&T and I called them and according to what they have I am connected with them and nothing else

Got it.
Can I ask, what you were watching on it before? Apps like Netflix or others or cable TV?

Customer Replay

On this particular TV I had not watched anything . I haven’t seen the screen like this since I remember the nightmare that I had nine years ago getting it set up when I first bought it. I am more technologically savvy than I was back then. But as I said I remember having to do an auto run and I do not know how to do that now I forgotten how to access that

Got it!

  1. On the remote control, press the Home button and use the Directional pad to navigate to Settings.
  2. Select General > Smart Features.
  3. Disable the Autorun Smart Hub function.
  4. Try turning the TV off and on again and the Smart Hub menu should be disabled with the current Input Source banner displayed in its place.
  5. Head back above to Step 3 if you would like to re-enable the Autorun Smart Hub function.

I don’t have Home on my remote. I have TV, an input button, menu, guide, tools, info.

Click Menu.
Menu > Smart Hub > Auto-start Settings > Smart Hub

Customer Replay

Done
Done but no picture no change

Got it.

  1. With your TV turned on, press the Menu button on your remote control and then select Settings.
  2. Select Generaland then Reset. A pop-up will appear asking you to enter your PIN. Once you have entered your PIN, select Yes and your TV will then reset.

Since your model is old, it can be:

  • Home > Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Reset
  • Support > Self Diagnosis > Reset

I don’t have a general on my remote and I have never had a pin

banner 9

Sorry for that, since I don't know your exact model, hard to know which one will be yours.

Customer Replay

I understand

Can you try: MENU > Support > Self Diagnosis

Customer Replay

Now it’s asking me for my pin number on the remote control and there aren’t any on the remote

Try to enter 0000

Customer Replay

I think I have it but hold on

Customer Replay

The picture reset But it’s saying no signal just like it’s not connected to cable. Thank you so much for your help I am too tired I’ve been going at it since about 6 AM this morning and I’m eastern seaboard and I’ll try again tomorrow. I will probably call AT&T again and have them verify everything is OK. Thank you so much

Sure! Glad that the picture is back!
