I just don't know what's going on with my phone my screen it will not let me shut my phone off it will not let me restart my phone it will not show me my home screen

What troubleshooting have you done so far?
I tried and held the power button and the power restart and another option and stuff came on I pressed the power button to shut my phone off but it is not shutting it off I also tried the restart button it will not restart but I can't see anything to do anything
Have you tried pressing and holding the Volume up and side buttons?

I the power button and the volume up button and I got Android recovery this it says reboot system now so I don't know what to do now

Okay there's several things on here the reboot system now is highlighted in green I tried pressing that but nothing's happening

Okay I did and Samsung Galaxy popped up and that's just what it's doing right now

Yes I pressed the power button and I guess it rebooted and it's restarted now thanks so much I'm going to try to see if this all works

What would cause it to do that
Just press the power button alone for like 10 seconds.
I totally turned my phone off and it's turning back on now.. why would my phone have done that

I've turned my phone off waited turn my phone back on and it's come back up and I can see what's normally there
Why would my phone screen totally do what it did and I was not able to turn it off or restart it what caused that
