I have forgotten my password for my Galaxy Tab S7 as I was overseas for work for a extended time period

Please clarify, what troubleshooting have you already tried so far?
Tried to turn off with normal option of swiping down and selecting turn off. Tried the suggested - hold down volume button with the power button.
And nothing works, right?
neither worked. Just keeps coming back to the login screen asking for t password.

Follow these steps:
- Log into Your Account.
Go to findmymobile.samsung.com and sign in with your Samsung ID and password - Select Find
Tap/click on Find. - Choose More
Swipe down to Unlock My Device at the bottom of the menu and select it. - Type the Samsung Account Password
When you enter the password, hit the Unlock button at the top of the menu. A green Unlock icon will appear on the screen after you’ve unlocked the phone. This action removes the PIN password from your Galaxy 7.
Please notice, that you need to log in to the account associated with your Galaxy Tab S7

Yes. Just had several steps to get to where I needed to be.

- Step 1: Grab your computer or mac -> plug-in charger cable to your computer and make sure your galaxy tab s7 is charging.
Done.
- Step 2: Now, Press and hold power button and volume down button and after 15 seconds release the volume down key and now press volume up button and dont release power button key at any time during this process.
Done. Into Android Recovery screen

- Step 3: Press and hold these power buttons and volume up button until you see a samsung logo appears on your samsung tablet S7.
Wipe data/factory reset option on Android Recovery page?
Yes
You need to highlight this wipe data and factory reset option using volume up and down keys.
Once you highlight wipe data and factory reset -> press power button on the side of your samsung tablet S7.
Done. Then reselect factory data reset?
Yes, Now, confirm factory data reset -> press volume down button and then power button.

Wait for your samsung galaxy tab s7 factory reset to complete and once wipe data / factory reset completes then you need to reboot system now.
