Hello, thank you for using Howly. I’ll be happy to help you out! May I ask your name?

Nice to meet you, *****!
What troubleshooting have you done so far?
I’ve tried turning the router on and off a few times, I’ve changed the Router Max address to “Clone Current Device Max” as well as configured the IPTV/VLAN settings to “New Zealand -UFB” as I live in New Zealand
the internet seems to be connected to my computer, everything seems to be running fine, but nothing loads on the internet
Noted! Thank you!
What is the error message when you try to open a web page?
“This site can’t be reached website took too long to respond”
Got it!
my fibre box is also lit up green. Showing that it is connected to the internet. Unfortunately I do not own a computer with a direct cable input to test it directly
Are you trying to open a web page using your laptop? If so, could you please specify the name of your system?
I’m trying to just open the google home page as a test
I’m using a MacBook Pro
Thank you!
I’m just double checking my ISP troubleshooting now
it suggests to enter a PPPoE username and password that they provide
Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet is a type of broadband connection that provides authentication in addition to data transport. Most DSL providers use PPPoE to establish Internet connections for customers.
Most likely, that's the case.
Okay I’ll try and get back to you :)
That worked!
Sounds great!
internet loads all good :)
thank you!
You are always very welcome!
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
