HP Officejet Pro 8710 printer stopped working, when unplugged it turns itself on when plugged in and all lights flashing printer erroe

Can it be fixeed?

Short summary:

  1. Check the error message on your HP Officejet Pro 8710 printer. If it displays the message "There is a problem with the printer, Turn the printer off and then on," proceed with the following steps.
  2. Make sure there are no paper jams in the printer. Check all paper trays, input trays, and the rear access panel for any stuck paper or debris.
  3. Verify the ink levels on the printer. Look for icons such as an ink drop, cartridge, ink levels menu, or toner level indicator. If the ink levels are low, replace the cartridges if necessary.
  4. If the printer lights are flashing and you cannot find any specific error messages or ink level indicators, it is possible that a component of the printer is malfunctioning.
  5. Go to the HP support website at https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/printscandoctor.
  6. Download and install the "HP Print and Scan Doctor" app for your computer from the provided link.
  7. Once installed, run the "HP Print and Scan Doctor" program. It will automatically detect your printer and start diagnostics.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the "HP Print and Scan Doctor" app to diagnose and fix any issues with your printer.
  9. If the app prompts you to cycle your router, follow the instructions to power cycle the router by unplugging it, waiting for a few minutes, and then plugging it back in.
  10. To cycle the printer, unplug it from the power source for a few minutes and then plug it back in.
  11. Once you have power cycled both the router and printer, run the "HP Print and Scan Doctor" app again to check if the issue is resolved.
  12. If the printer is now functioning properly, you should be able to print a document successfully.

Okay, could you please check the ink level on the printer?
Look for an Ink drop icon, a Cartridge icon , an Ink Levels menu, or a Toner Level indicator.

Customer Replay

none of these are evident
on/off button is flashing, as is return button, home button, question button and wifi signal

Thank you for the information!
There is a chance that some part of your printer is malfunctioning

Is everything clear with the provided instruction?

Customer Replay

Clear and am doing it now
app is installed, it found printer but failed to communitcate, asking to cycle router which i can do but also asking to cycle printer which i cannot

To cycle the printer you just need to unplug it for few minutes
Try cycling both printer and router and then try running the app again
