To pair your voice remote during setup, remove the battery cover and install new matching batteries when prompted. If pairing does not begin automatically or your remote has a rechargeable battery with no battery cover (as is the case with the Roku Voice Remote Pro), you can manually initiate the process with a press and hold of the pairing button until the status light begins to flash.
The pairing button and status light are located on the back of a rechargeable voice remote (such as the Roku Voice Remote Pro)
When your Roku device detects your remote, it begins the pairing process and displays indicator on the screen.

Good. You can install the Roku mobile app for iOS® on your iPhone.
Via Roku mobile app you can access the settings of your Roku device and add the new remote.

OK, let's try to pair your new voice remote when your Roku device is powering on without using the app.

  1. Remove the power cord from your Roku device
  2. Wait at least 5 seconds
  3. Re-connect the power cord
  4. Wait for your Roku device to power on and for the Home screen to appear on your TV screen
  5. Within 30 seconds of seeing the Home screen, press and hold the pairing button on your new voice remote for 5 seconds, or until you see the status light begin to flash. If the light does not flash, try charging the remote or replacing the batteries.
