Customer: I lost my old remote and just got a new one voice control how do I set it up

Customer: Voice remote pro

Dmytro Sywyi: Thank you for the information.
Dmytro Sywyi: To pair your voice remote during setup, remove the battery cover and install new matching batteries when prompted. If pairing does not begin automatically or your remote has a rechargeable battery with no battery cover (as is the case with the Roku Voice Remote Pro), you can manually initiate the process with a press and hold of the pairing button until the status light begins to flash.

Dmytro Sywyi: When your Roku device detects your remote, it begins the pairing process and displays indicator on the screen.

Customer: I have an IPhone with ios

Dmytro Sywyi: Good. You can install the Roku mobile app for iOS® on your iPhone.

Dmytro Sywyi: Via Roku mobile app you can access the settings of your Roku device and add the new remote.

Customer: so there going to change me for this app

Dmytro Sywyi: The app is free.

Customer: Ok I am there

Dmytro Sywyi: OK, please tap the Devices tab at the bottom right of the screen. Find the name of the Roku device you’re using on the page, then tap it.

Customer: i don’t see a device

Dmytro Sywyi: OK, there is an alternative way of connecting the remote.

Customer: at my far right says settings

Dmytro Sywyi: Please try to tap on the Setting and find Remotes & devices

Customer: all it says is roku remote v. it says premium plan then privacy policy then terms os use then contract us

Dmytro Sywyi: OK, let’s try to pair your new voice remote when your Roku device is powering on without using the app.

  1. Remove the power cord from your Roku device
  2. Wait at least 5 seconds
  3. Re-connect the power cord
  4. Wait for your Roku device to power on and the Home screen to appear on your TV screen
  5. Within 30 seconds of seeing the Home screen, press and hold the pairing button on your new voice remote for 5 seconds, or until you see the status light begin to flash. If the light does not flash, try charging the remote or replacing the batteries.
