You mentioned you are facing issues with installing drivers for your Epson printer, right? Could you share the model of the device?
No. The Printer is an Epson Workforce Pro model WF-4740
You have Windows 10 OS, right?
I have upgraded to Windows 11
Got you. Could you provide more info about the issue in general? When did the issue appear?
The problem began yesterday after an automatic Windows update. Before that, everything was ok. Now I can't get downloads to open.
Do your printer did work with Windows 11 without any issues before, right?
Yes
Understood
Please try to use this link to install drivers for Windows 11 -----> epson.com
I clicked on that link, and it sent me to Epson; I then tried the downloads offered nad nothing happened when I hit open file
I see
But is the file downloaded to your PC?
No. Tats the problem, nothing will download
I see
What happens when you try to download it?
The download window in the upper right-hand corner comes uo, the file downloads somewhere, but when it says to 'open' nothing happens
Please go to your downloads folder
Do you know how to locate it?
yes
Alright, there you can locate the downloaded file, *****
Yes, the file is listed in the downloads file, but when I click on it, a pop-up box comes up that says"the app your trying to install isn't a Microsoft-verified app"
Try this instruction to get rid of this
Click the Start button and then click the gear icon to open the Settings app. Next, choose the Apps category. On the right side, click the “Choose where to get apps” drop-down list and change it from “The Microsoft Store only I do not get choose where to get apps list
Please follow the instruction above to remove the warning so we could install the driver
