Nice to meet you, *****!
What is the brand and model of your watch?

Customer Replay

The Fitbit watch displays 98% when disconnected or reconnected to the charger but won't stay on to display the time or anything else.

author

Does your watch always show 98 percent or does it charge and discharge normally?

Customer Replay

It has been on the charger for a week or so; I assume it should reflect 100% by now.

Okay, got it.
So you want your smartwatch to always show the time on the screen, right?

Customer Replay

I need to be able to see the display; the face stays black.

author

i.e. you always see a black display even if you try to press something, right?

Customer Replay

The watch is the Fitbit Inspire 2
Yes the display is always black.

author

Got it, thanks.
But after you start charging it, it shows numbers, right?

Customer Replay

Got it.

  1. To restart your watch, press and hold the button for 10 seconds until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. Then release the button.
  2. You may need to try this process a few times.
  3. If your device does not restart when following these instructions, remove any case or screen protector and try again.
Can you please try these steps above?
Customer Replay

Yes, I am; there is no button on the back.

author

You can press one button.
That turns it on.

Customer Replay

I've pressed the face's top and bottom and both left and right sides, but nothing happens.

author

Got it.

  1. Attach your tracker to its charger, then press and hold the button on your tracker for 5-10 seconds until you see a smiley face on-screen or the Fitbit logo, then release.
  2. The tracker restarts when you see that icon or logo, and the Fitbit vibrates.

Can you please try these steps?

Customer Replay

I think I have it; thanks.
