My personal facebook page disappeared

Don't know what I did except I got a notice to update my business page and clicked yes

A short while ago I logged onto my personal FB page but was prompted by a notice from my business page that I could update the page. I clicked yes. but then I could not find or get into my personal page. I found one page with my personal icon but all my contacts were gone. How do I get my personal page back?

What device do you use to access your Facebook?

iMac using Safari
All is fine with the account on my phone but gone on my desktop.

Could you please try to sign out of your personal page and sign back in?

I'm on the abbreviated personal page from clicking on the FB icon then I clicked close window. Is that what you mean?

Please click on your profile name, and choose "Sign out". Then try to sign in using your account login and password

I don't know how to do that because i just click the icon to get in.
If I click on Quit Safari then I will lose your page too.
