My LG dryer's control panel's left half, including the hold to start button, has quit working.

The right side of the panel does work. This includes the Time Dry column, the signal column and the more time/less time column. The power button also works.

Short summary:

  1. Unplug the dryer from the power outlet.
  2. Wait for a few minutes.
  3. Plug the dryer back in.
  4. Press the power button to turn on the dryer.
  5. If needed, press the start button to begin the drying cycle.
  6. Check if the dryer is functioning properly.

Hello, thank you for using Howly.
Can you please specify the model of your LG dryer?

Could you please tell me when and how did the problem occur?

Customer Replay

It worked Tuesday night. This morning it didn't work. I don't know what happened.

What troubleshooting have you done so far?

Customer Replay

All I've done is push all the "buttons" and found out that only half the control panel works.
And the power button works. The dryer is most definitely getting power.

Got you!
Please, try to unplug your device, wait for a few mins and then plug it back. And tell me the result

Just like a computer. Will do.

Yes, well done
Or you can push on a power button and then start

Hot dang! That did it. I'm gonna remember that, for sure! Thanks!!

Great!!
I’m glad I was able to get that sorted out for you. Is there anything else I can assist you with today?

Customer Replay

No, thank you. No more today. Thanks again!
