Hello, thank you for using Howly. I’ll be happy to help you out! May I ask your name?
*****
Nice to meet you, *****!
Please describe your request with as many details as possible for me to get the whole picture of the situation.
I have a Hisense roku tv H4 series that won't connect to my network, and my password is correct.
What troubleshooting have you done so far?
I have done a factory reset. But the tv hasn't been connected to any networks
Let us try to restart your router.
Please, unplug your router wait for 5 min, and plug it in back.
5 minutes or 5 seconds
5 min
minutes
You will be waiting awhile
Sure, I`m here
I unplugged it , now I am timing it
I appreciate your patience!
Keep me posted
2 minutes left!
Great!
Just plugged it in
Could you try to connect your TV to the Wi-Fi one more time?
Unable to connect
Just to be sure, let us try to reset the TV RAM memory.
Okay
Please, unplug your TV for 2 min and plug it in back
These simple steps can reset your TV RAM.
Okay I am timing
Thank you!
Plugged it in
Ok, try to connect your TV one more time
Unable to connect
I got you, let us try to reset your Network settings.
Press the Home button on the remote and navigate over to Settings.
Under Settings, select System > Advanced System Settings > Network Connection Reset.
Now select Reset Connection and press the OK button.
Your Hisense Roku TV will reboot and it will now forget all Wi-Fi networks it has ever connected to.
We are factory resetting
Now we are resetting the Network settings.
It still doesn't connect
Is your TV rebooted?
Yes
Just to be sure, do you have any other device connected to your Wi-Fi Network?
We have another roku tv
Thank you for the info!
Let us try to reset your router then.
And it is working
We did this with the 5 minute wait didn't we?
We just restart your router
Now we need to reset it to default settings.
How
After we did that you can find a login and password to your router at the bottom of your router.
You need to find a little hole in the back of your router, And press on it with a paper clip for a 10 sec
Okay this newer router has a resetting button but no little hole
Could you tell me the model of your router?
BGW210
I did, it must be the reset
Yes, have you found it?
Yes
press down on the reset button for about 10 seconds while the router is on
Did it
Great! And now you can find a login and password on the bottom sticker on your router.
Yes
Please, try to use default password to connect your TV to Wi-Fi
How
Have you found the default login and password on your router?
Yes. That's what we have been using this whole time
Just to be sure, could you try to connect TV to Wi-Fi again as we do before?
Okay
Thank you!
Typing now
Take your time
Didn't work.
Please, try to connect your Phone to your Wi-Fi network
My phone is connected
Let us try to change DHCP settings manually
Press the Menu button on the remote.
Select Network.
Go to Manual Setup.
Toggle DHCP on if it was off or off if it was on.
Back out of the settings page.
Do you think maybe it is just a bad tv
Your issue is strange, but I cannot tell you that your TV is bad.
