I changed from operating system 11 back to 10 the other day and choose the wrong keybosrd and was trying to get back to the US one. When I typed in change password, it wanted my 3 security answers, I could not get them right

So the account is blocked now?

Customer Replay

It has been working ok for the last 3 days, but I had to sign in on DVR keyboard then switch to US keyboard.
Yes account is blocked now on that computer

What does happen when you try to log in there on that computer?

Customer Replay

It is in another room, but I think it says account is blocked

Could you check that for me?

Customer Replay

Ok, I just turned it on, and it wants my password

Do you know it?

Customer Replay

when I put it in it says not right and do I want to change.

Can you reset it?

Customer Replay

When I changed over I did not realize I was on the wrong US keyboard when I entered it

I see, are you able to reset it now?

Customer Replay

I have been signing in with the wrong one and then changing to US one and all was good. This morning I wanted to fix that. That is when problem started. It said wrong password, and did I want to change it. I said yes, then it asked my 3 security questions and they were wrong. Tried everything I could, but still wrong and it locked me out
will go try to reset again. hold on

Try these steps:

  1. Visit the Microsoft password recovery page -
    https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx
  2. Enter the email address you used to create your Microsoft account and click Next.
  3. Select which option to send the verification code to a backup email address or phone number and click Next.
  4. Depending on the contact method you chose, retype the first part of the email address or the last four digits of the phone number hinted at in the previous window.
  5. Select "Get code".
  6. Paste or type the code you received and select Next. On the next page, you will be offered to create a new password. Type your new password and select Next.
If you no longer have access to any of the verification options shown, you won't be able to reset your password this way.
Instead, visit the following page directly and fill out the form:

    https://account.live.com/acsr

This form is used as a last resort, with the required information varying depending on how the account was set up. After submitting the necessary information, you should receive a reply within 24 hours from Microsoft.

Do you see, 'I forgot my PIN' option on the screen?

Customer Replay

I see nothing, but wanting my password

If you don't see, I forgot my PIN select Sign-in options and then select "Enter your password". You will then be able to enter your local password or a Microsoft account password, depending on which type of account you've created during the setup process.
Let me know when you are done.

Customer Replay

When I turn it on it comes up with Date and picture, the I click enter and it goes to password page

Select Sign-in options and then select "Enter your password". You will then be able to enter your local password or a Microsoft account password, depending on which type of account you've created during the setup process.

Customer Replay
