Hello, thank you for using Howly. I’ll be happy to help you out! May I ask your name?
*****
Nice to meet you, *****!
You can’t install the Windows or Mac desktop versions of Microsoft 365 or Office 2016 on a Chromebook, unfortunately. You can however use the web-version of Microsoft 365 with all it's services.
I get it, now only thing is
Yeah?
if I was to use microsoft 365 documents, can i submit it as regualr attachement
you know how I send an email and with that can i attach the document to this email
What did you mean by "Microsoft 365 documents" exactly?
I mean the actual app like google doc
microsoft 365 has google doc right? and powerpoint
how do i attach the document to the email
would you know of a trick
No, Google Doc is a different thing.
ok
However, Microsoft 365 has Power Point, yeah.
ok
would you have an idea
The paper clip icon or the word "Attact" is how you attach the document to the email.
my thought was it wouldnt work
because its a google doc or its a microsoft 365 word doc
What wouldn't work?
so would i need to copy and then past the link in the email ?
Google and Microsoft services aren't affiliated.
yes
What link?
i want to show you what i mean
i just don't know how
Okay, I'll wait.
so i tried to attach the google doc to an email
And?
it would not even load
You just copy-pasted the link?
oh no
i clicked on the attachement icon
Right.
and I was able to see google drive and from there i found my doc
but when i clicked it, it did not load
I have tried 4 different types of documents, including pdfs
You can just download the file from your Google Doc on your device's memory.
oh
how ?
i think i got it
Great, how?
ok, so i see it saved as .docx
that's wonderful, I emailed and opened it and seems like the receiver would see it as regualr document
Yep.
now my question how if possible can i get the microsoft 365 legally free
I would really appreciate your response, as I am on a time crunch
Legally, you can only try a free one-month trial.
oh
and then?
do you know how much i would pay per month
do both microsoft 365 and google drive, do they have the exact same features such as: spreadsheets, powerpoint, etc?
Microsoft 365 gives you access to Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other services.
Google Drive is a little bit different.
okay, do you know how i can add ppt to be on google drive?
PPT?
power point
I don't think you can.
ok
I mean, it's on a web-version of Microsoft 365.
ok
i see
And since Microsoft servers aren't connected to Google.
ok, are you sure that its not free, some person, on youtube said you can get free and legally
i was wondering if you
can confirm
Yes.
I found that info on Microsoft website.
Unless you find a free key somewhere, of course.
but it would still be legal?
If you found it or got it for free from someone, sure.
ok, thanks for that
No problem.
Is there anything else I can do for you today?
