You can’t install the Windows or Mac desktop versions of Microsoft 365 or Office 2016 on a Chromebook, unfortunately. You can however use the web-version of Microsoft 365 with all it's services.

The paper clip icon or the word "Attact" is how you attach the document to the email.
my thought was it wouldnt work
because its a google doc or its a microsoft 365 word doc

and I was able to see google drive and from there i found my doc
but when i clicked it, it did not load
I have tried 4 different types of documents, including pdfs
You can just download the file from your Google Doc on your device's memory.

Legally, you can only try a free one-month trial.

do both microsoft 365 and google drive, do they have the exact same features such as: spreadsheets, powerpoint, etc?
Microsoft 365 gives you access to Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other services.
Google Drive is a little bit different.
