I am a Q Link Wireless customer

I can make phone calls and send text messages but I can only receive text messages I cannot receive any phone calls. This has been going on for approximately 3 to 4 weeks. How do I resolve this issue? It may have been something that I did on my phone in settings but I need to fix this. Please help and thank you

Hello, thank you for using Howly. Iโ€™ll be happy to help you out! May I ask your name?

Nice to meet you, *****!
Did you receive any errors on your phone before the problem occurs?

Customer Replay

I think I started receiving messages saying that my data level was low or something like that but I have unlimited data through Q Link. I think I went into my data settings and tried to fix it myself. I do not remember exactly what I did. Please help

Can you please provide me with the model of your phone?

Thank you!
Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Options > Activate LTE and deactivate LTE, 4G or 3G.
Check your phone's app settings to see if changing your phone's range will allow you to make incoming and outgoing calls.

Customer Replay

Okay thanks. Give me a few minutes please

Take your time!

I went to settings but I did not see anything that said cellular or cellular options. I cannot figure out where to find the LTE Choice menu choices
And I know I've seen it before

Did you follow the previous instructions?:)

Customer Replay

Yes like I said I went into my settings but did not find a category called cellular or cellular options. I know I've seen the LTE or LTE 3G or whatever before in passing but I can't remember where it is located in my settings menu.
So basically I did not get past step one of your instructions... go to settings

Could you try to follow all steps with me again?

Customer Replay

Sure

Okay!:)
Go to the "Settings".
Did you do it?

Customer Replay

Okay I am at settings and my choices of categories are Networks, sound and notification, display and general

You need to choose "Cellular".
Could you see it?

Customer Replay

Those four categories have subcategories and none of those subcategories say cellular or cellular options
Would the category Network be considered cellular?

Could you see a screenshot?

It is not a problem!:) I am here with you and want to help you so much!:)
How it goes with a screenshot?

Customer Replay

Okay I see the screenshot and it seems that you want me to go under more and then tap mobile networks.

You are right!:)
After that, let me know, what you see.

Customer Replay

WOOHOO !!!!

Can you choose LTE?

Customer Replay

Okay under mobile networks I see mobile data Mobile roaming Network Mode access point names and network operators

Could you please provide me with a screenshot?

Customer Replay

How do I do that

As I see, it chose right!
Try turning on airplane mode, wait 10 seconds and turn it off and try the network again.

Customer Replay

Okay give me a minute

I am here, with you!:)

Customer Replay

I did what you said I turned airplane mode on waiting for probably like 2 or 3 minutes and then turned it back off and I went back to network and I don't know whether or not I can get phone calls in yet or not but if you want hold on about 2 more minutes I can give it a try and have my roommate call me

You can ask him now.
If it does not work, let me know and we will change it!:)

Customer Replay

Yes... they just tried. It was a no go

I see.
Let us try next way:
The first step, after having restarted your phone, is to try to reset your network settings.
In the Settings > Backup and reset menu, select reset network settings.
How it goes?

Customer Replay

Okay hold on

Of course.
