HP7740 printer ran out of paper and then stopped printing after refilling paper.

It is queued and shows printing on the screen but will not copy or print. The fault code B8C1ED9C came up briefly

First, please take out the cartridges and then unplug the power cord from the HP printer & wall.

After unplugging, please follow the next steps:

  1. Wait for 30 seconds.
  2. Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, and ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.
  3. Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

The printer will print reports from the control panel but not copy or normal printing
it says depleted cartridges need to be replaced

So, you have to replace the cartridges

they seem fine but the three colored ones show a Y when checking levels not sure if I have extras
put the test page prints perfect color

thank you I will advise if that does not work I am trying to print and copy only in B&W and have a fresh cartridge for that
