How do I get my BitLocker recovery key

I updated Microsoft 11.. I believe? A while ago and then shut down the computer and rebooted it and this is the first time I have used it since. I was in the process of looking at emails and this notice came up about the BitLocker recovery key. However I don't know how to find it.

Nice to meet you, *****!
Open a web browser on another device and Sign in to your Microsoft account to find your recovery key. This is the most likely place to find your recovery key.
Just go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey

I found a recovery key, but it is about 40 digits long. It says device name desktop- and then it has seven letters. It also has a key ID which is eight numbers long. Would that be it?

Your BitLocker recovery key is a unique 48-digit numerical password that can be used to unlock your system if BitLocker is otherwise unable to confirm for certain that the attempt to access the system drive is authorized.

That seems to have worked. Thank you.
