Nice to meet you, *****!
Would you be so kind to tell me more about that issue?

Customer Replay

When I ask to open any word document it states I do not have access to it.

I see.
Let`s try to alter the permissions for the files on your MacBook.

  1. On your Mac, select a disk, folder, or file, then choose File > Get Info.
If the information in Sharing & Permissions isn’t visible, click the arrow.
  2. Select a user or group in the Name column, then choose a privileged setting from the pop-up menu. Most convenient would be "Read and Write".

Please keep me posted.

Can you try and open your file now?

Customer Replay

it opened do I have to do this with each file because none of the hundreds of files I have opened.?

Amazing!
Are those files grouped by folders by any chance?
Or maybe they are on one disk?

Customer Replay

some are and some are not.

If they are on one disk, please do the following:

  1. On your Mac, select a folder or disk, then choose File > Get Info.
  2. Click the Action pop-up menu at the bottom of the window, then choose “Apply to enclosed items.”
