But I purchased this in 2011

Got it
When "Sud" or "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the washer pauses the tumbling and adds water for additional rinsing. This pause allows the bubbles in the suds to break.

The washer was getting pretty full of water so I turned the power off and got it to drain. Now if I turn it back on it will start a whole new cycle and even though I don't put any soap it the dispenser is it going to do the same thing? Could it be the control panel is just malfunctioning?

If the dial is flashing, reselect your desired cycle using a cold wash temperature, and press START/PAUSE. Do not add detergent

Yesterday when I had a load in the UL came up which is an unbalanced load. In the past all I had to do is rearrange the clothes and it would be fine. But yesterday no matter what I did it didn't change.

Got it.

  • Adding wet items to the washer or adding more water to the basket could unbalance the washer.
  • Avoid washing single items. Balance a single item such as a rug or jeans jacket with a few extra items, such as towels.
  • If the dial is flashing, redistribute the load, close the lid, and press START/PAUSE.
  • Use the Bulky/Sheets Deep Water Wash cycle for oversized, nonabsorbent items such as comforters or poly-filled jackets. Other items are not appropriate for the Bulky/Sheets cycle

I'm 78 years old and I have used a lot of washers and I try not to do anything that will cause that to happen. But I will try the other suggestion and start a new cycle without any detergent. Hope it works this time but I don't trust it anymore. So maybe it's just time to get a new one. Thanks for your help.
