Want to setup my daughter and wifes cell phone with vivint app.

My phone was setup by the tech at install.

Short summary:

  1. Open a web browser on your computer or mobile device.
  2. Go to the password reset page: Visit the following link in your web browser: id.vivint.com/idp/login/forgot
  3. Enter your email address: On the password reset page, enter the email address associated with your Vivint account. In this case, enter the email address you provided during registration.
  4. Click "Reset password": Once you've entered your email address, click on the "Reset password" button. This will initiate the password reset process.
  5. Check your email: You should receive an email from Vivint with instructions on how to reset your password. It may take up to 30 minutes for the email to arrive, so please be patient. If you don't see the email in your Inbox, make sure to check your Junk/Spam folder as well.
  6. Open the reset password email: Locate the email from Vivint in your inbox or Junk/Spam folder. Open the email to view its contents.
  7. Follow the instructions in the email: Inside the email, you should find instructions on how to complete the password reset process. Typically, it will involve clicking on a provided link to a password reset page.
  8. Set a new password: Once you're on the password reset page, follow the instructions to set a new password for your Vivint account. Choose a strong and secure password that you'll be able to remember.
  9. Confirm the new password: After setting your new password, you may be asked to confirm it by entering it again. Make sure to enter the same password as in the previous step to avoid any errors.
  10. Save your new password: Once you've successfully reset your password, it's important to save it in a secure place or use a reliable password manager to ensure you can access your Vivint account in the future.

she is unable to log on because i do not know my email or password for her to use

Vivint app is a Home Security and Smart Home Control app, do you remember the email address used to register the account?

  • Please, follow this link and enter your email linked to your Vivint account
    id.vivint.com/idp/login/forgot
  • After that click "Reset password"
  • You will receive a reset password email from Vivint.
  • Follow the steps provided in the email to finish resetting your password. It may take up to 30 minutes to receive the link in your email inbox.
  • Check your Junk/Spam mail if you do not see it in your Inbox.
