My remote control is acting up and I am not able to maneuver my screen

My TV is a JVC and my remote is a Roku.

Short summary:

  1. Ensure that your Roku remote has new batteries installed.
  2. Unplug your Roku device from the power outlet and wait for at least 10 seconds before plugging it back in.
  3. Press the Home button on your Roku remote and navigate to "Settings" > "Remote & devices" > "Remote" > "Pair remote".
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your remote with your TV.
  5. If the pairing is unsuccessful, remove the batteries from your Roku remote and wait for at least 5 seconds before reinserting them.
  6. Press and hold the pairing button located on the back of your remote until the pairing light begins to flash.
  7. Press and release the pairing button on your Roku device - the pairing light on your remote should stop flashing and stay lit, indicating that the pairing was successful.
  8. If your remote does not have a pairing button on the back, go to "Settings" > "Remotes & devices" > "Pair a new remote" on your Roku device.
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions to put your Roku remote into pairing mode.
  10. Your Roku device should automatically detect the remote and pair with it within a few seconds.
  11. Test your remote to ensure that it is working properly.
