Nice to meet you, *****!
Can you please specify both the brand and the model of your oven?

Customer Replay

Have a Kenmore oven, 24 inch. I accidentally pushed clean with my cooked food inside. How to unlock

Thank you for the provided information
To unlock your oven, please do the following:
Look near the control panel above the oven door for a button labeled “Oven Lock.” If you don’t see this button, you may be able to unlock the door by using the “Clear/Off” button. Press the unlock button on the control panel for 3 seconds. Keep it held down to trigger the door latch.
Please let me know once it's done.

It is an electric range

First, count down the minutes until the lock timer ends if the self-cleaning cycle is running. Your oven reaches extremely high temperatures during the cleaning and will not clear the lock to open until the cycle is both over and the interior temperature drops to about 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
Press the oven stop or clear button for three seconds to stop the cleaning cycle. If the oven isn't too hot, the lock will immediately release, allowing you to open the door. If the internal temperature is too high, however, you must wait for the temperature to drop and the lock mechanism will automatically clear. Open the door to resume normal operation.

We don't have either button, the oven is not cleaning so...

You've mentioned above that you pushed clean
What buttons do you have on your oven?

Customer Replay

Bake, broil, Off cancel, Clean

Does your Kenmore have a mechanical lock?

Customer Replay

Digital

Customer Replay

On the other side of panel, there is clock set, cook time, timer, stop time

author

Set the oven to self-clean again and allow it to run for a minute or two, then cancel the cleaning cycle. In some instances, this will clear the lock mechanism and allow the door to open.

Customer Replay

But will it burn my dinner?

author

Hopefully, not

Customer Replay

Sorry, a joke

Customer Replay

The oven cleaner did not come on after pushing clean, but we waited 3 minutes and push cancel/off. Door not open

author

In that case, unplug your Kenmore oven or turn off the power supply at the circuit breaker box. Wait a couple of minutes, then resupply power and test the door to see if it will open.

Customer Replay

Ok

author

Please let me know once it's done.

Customer Replay

Okay...unplugged from wall, waited, pushed cancel, still locked.
Ok, we got it. Don't know what we did, but..thank you, have a wonderful evening 😊
