My fox-tel remote will not operate to change channels or anything else

I have changed batteries to see if that helped but it will not operate at al

Could you please tell me when and how did the problem occur?
Do you remember what preceded the problem?

on turning on the TV this morning and went to change from free to air to fox tel with the remote and got no response I then tried new batteries but to no avail

Let's try to reset the remote. Please, unplug your Foxtel box from the power outlet, then press and hold the "back" and "play" buttons on the remote for five seconds.
This should reset the remote.

To check the IR sensor on your Foxtel remote using a camera, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on the camera on your smartphone or digital camera.
  2. Point the remote at the camera lens.
