I need to recover a WORD document

Could you please tell me how exactly it got corrupted or deleted?
I'm not sure. The file is showing with listed WORD documents and has a pin next to it but when I click on it ...Sorry we couldn't find your file

Yes, directly, which is how I would do normally. Actually, I had this doc on my Desktop

It's gone from the Desktop collection

I absolutely understand your concern. Please try these instructions:
- Click Start, type a portion of the document's name into the Search box
- Open Documents (or, if you think you saved the document somewhere else, press the Windows Logo Key and E simultaneously and double-click on "Local Disc (C:)"), and then type a portion of the document's name into the Search box in the upper right corner of the window
I checked to see if I put it elsewhere but do not see it

Try also changing the name of the document or saving it to a different folder
