Hello, thank you for using Howly. I’ll be happy to help you out! May I ask your name?
*****
Nice to meet you, *****!
Would you be so kind to tell me more about that issue?
On my Amazon fire tv my HDMI's are blinking off and on making my signal go off and on
You are using Amazon firestick on your TV?
No fire stick just Amazon fire tv
Ok, could you tell me the model and brand of your TV?
All I no right now it's an Amazon fire tv how do I get model and brand
The brand must be on the front side of your TV under the screen, the model must be on the backside of your TV, and it could be a sticker with the model number.
Toshiba model 43lf621u19
Thank you!
So what exactly you have connected to the HDMI port on this tv that makes the signal go off and on?
I just have my Direct Tv and my X box but they are not the problem because it just started today doing that and they been connected since I had the Tv
I understand, but you said that the HDMI port is turning off and on making the signal go off and on, could you tell me which devices go off and on or which signal?
Well I have been trying to watch my Direct Tv and it started about an hour ago it goes from showing the channels to no signal like a computer glitch
Gotch you!
Could you please tell me what you tried before contacting us?
I tried unplugging and plugging it back up it worked for a while now it's not so me trying that over is not working now
Did you try to unplug your Direct TV box or your TV from the power cord?
No but I did unplug all of it tv , box,and game at the same time
Ok, let's start with the TV, please try to unplug your TV from the power source wait for 1 minute, and try to plug it back.
Ok
Please try after that the signal, and let me know the result.
Ok I just plugged it back up and waiting for it to come back on all the way
Gotch you!
It's still blinking off and on
Please tell me, the picture is glitching and starting to freeze or it's completely turned off?
The picture coming on and going off from signal to no signal
Now it's not showing a picture at all
Is there any error?
It's just a black screen
Maybe you have a second HDMI cable that we could try? It could be from your Xbox.
I tried HDMI2 it says no signal
Let's try to check your TV Input
Cutting my tv and Direct Tv box off
Got it, please let me know when you try all the steps!
I don't know if I'm doing right but it says no signal
Do you see It's after you have done all 3 steps from the guide?
I kinda don't know what you are talking about when you say Geinie remote are you talking about Amazon fire tv remote
You must have a remote from Direct tv and you're regular remote for the TV.
Yes I have Direct Tv remote it's not responding to my tv as normal
Gotch you, could you make a photo of your TV remote and sent this photo to me?

Can you reconnect the wire to HDMI 1?
Ok
Take your time
It still says no signal
Did you choose the HDMI 1 on your screen?
Yes it says no signal detected
Got it
This must be a big problem
Can you check if the TV box is connected to electricity?
Yes it's on
Got it
It just not reading
What do you mean?
It's not reading my HDMI ports
But there is no such problem with xbox?
I never tried my x-box do you want me to
Ok give me a minute
Sure
Take your time, *****
It still reads no signal detected
Did you turn on your Xbox?
My Xbox is working now
Great
Is everything working correctly?
It's just my Direct Tv that's not responding
Got it
It says no signal detected
Unplug the receiver's power cord from the electrical outlet. Wait 15 seconds then plug it back in. Press Power on the front panel of your receiver and wait for your receiver to reboot.
I accidentally unplugged the whole thing
Plug everything back
I did, it still says no signal for the Direct Tv
Got it
Does it give any error codes?
No, just no signal detected
Understood
Can you unplug the wire from receiver and plug it back please
Ok
Thanks
Verify HDMI cord is secure and free of debris between the TV and DirecTV box on both sides
Everytime I try that I end up unplugging everything
What do you mean?
It's all on one adaptor so when I pull one out I pull all
Do you mean power adapter?
It's on now, I hope it stays on
You need to unplug HDMI from TV and reciver, not the power cord
Like I said it's working now what do I do if it stops again
Direct Tv is showing now
Is everything working correctly?
Yes so far, but it started working last time and it went back out
I'm afraid as soon as I turn to another channel it will go off and on again
If next time it stops working you should unplug it and check the HDMI wire
You can also contact us again if this situation happens.
Last time as soon as I checked my guide it went out again
Can you try to check it now?
Ok I will and thanks
Do you have any additional questions I can help you with?
So far so good and I have no more questions I just want to know how that happened
Are you still there
It's possible that the wire was not inserted correctly. This is a common problem
Yes
Okay well thanks again
I’m glad I was able to get that sorted out for you. Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
Maybe the wire needed cleaning and no more questions thanks
