Nice to meet you, *****!
What troubleshooting have you done so far?
i changed the batteries and I unplug the unit and started it back up
Got it, thanks for clarifying that.
The roku remote was working until I got to the down load of shows
Please, try to follow the next steps:
The remote doesn’t light up and I’m 2” from the Roku box
Got it, thanks for clarifying that.
Another common cause for a Roku remote not working is that the control has become unpaired from the box it is supposed to operate.
System updates, low power, changing Wi-Fi networks, using the device with another Roku box, or a simple technical glitch could all theoretically trigger an unexpected unpairing.
Thankfully, it is easy to pair a Roku remote with a Roku box or streaming stick. Just follow the instructions below:
Is everything clear with the provided instruction?
I unplugged the power and when I plugged it in Roku was blinking and then it went to tomorrow error help
the remote doesn’t light up at all
Please, try to press and hold the pairing button for three seconds or until the pairing light starts flashing. If the light does not flash, try again. If the light still does not flash, then you will need to replace your batteries.
The remote control is not working with the second set of batteries
Also, please, try to press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds, or until you see the status light begin to flash. If the light does not flash, charge your remote. Wait for 30 seconds while the remote establishes a connection with your streaming device.
I’ve pushed all the buttons on the remote still nothing I believe there’s a button on the box I’m going to check
Also, you can try to reset a Roku remote, follow the steps below:
it resets the power in the streaming device but when it comes back it asked for the language and the remote won’t work
Have you already tried to follow the steps I send you above?
yes and the remote does nothing
Please, check your Wi-Fi connection
i think I’m going to go back to my old Roku and send this one back
Do you have any additional questions I can help you with?
I’m back on my old Roku with no problems maybe I need a faster network
thanks for your efforts. I appreciate your time and help. Good try
You can try to connect your new Roku to a different network to check it, John.
Is there anything else I can do for you today?
