My TV has only one channel and does not respond to channel change

What is happening with it?

What troubleshooting have you done so far?

I also keep getting messages that the broadband is out on my emails. I haven't done anything except look at the modem and all the lights are on with one blinking.

Select FIND CHANNELS or AUTO CHANNEL SCAN.
Do not exit the screen until the scan is complete.

The TV upstairs is working. I brought the remote downstairs and it doesn't work on this one.

Remove the batteries from the remote.
Press every button on the remote at least one time. This also helps to check for stuck buttons.
Re-insert the batteries back into the remote.
Check to see if the remote is now working.

Still not working but I just noticed the cable box is showing a time of 10:53 and it appears to have stopped.

Got it!

  1. Turn off the television and the cable box for a few minutes.
  2. Unplug any connected devices and the power source.
  3. Press the POWER button on the television for 30 seconds.
  4. Plug in the television and external devices after 10 minutes.
  5. Turn the TV and cable box back on.

I plugged them back in but the cable box immediately went off and I pushed button to see if it would go back on and it started blinking but didn't go on.
It's on now with the correct time
