My series 6 Samsung TV just started popping up banners on the bottom of the screen which advertise the features of the TV

Short summary:

  1. Locate the remote control for your Samsung TV.
  2. Press the "Tools" button on the remote control. If the TV does not respond to the Tools button, proceed to the next step.
  3. On your TV, find the volume button. It is usually located on the bottom or side panel of the TV.
  4. While holding down the volume button, press the "Menu" button on the TV. Continue holding both buttons.
  5. Keep pressing the Menu button until the TV menu appears on the screen. You may need to press it multiple times.
  6. Navigate through the menu options using the arrow keys on your TV. Look for the "LOCATION" or "MODE" option.
  7. Select the "LOCATION" option and change it from "STORE" to "HOME" using the left or right arrow keys on your TV
  8. Exit the menu by pressing the appropriate button on your TV remote control or by navigating to the "Exit" or "Back" option in the menu
  9. Turn off your TV and then turn it back on again.
  10. Check if the banner at the bottom of the screen has been removed. If it has, the issue is resolved.
