Facebook can only use that one number for two-factor authentication.
You can ask your provider to send you a new SIM with the same number. If you provide me with the name of your carrier, I will send you the needed contact number.

Customer Replay

Verizon

To request recover of old Simcard call please to contact Verizon directly on 1-800-837-4966
Or you can visit local Verizon store.
Can you please try that?

Customer Replay

Ok

Is there anything else I can do for you today?

Please clarify me, so at this moment you are now in your account?

Customer Replay

Yeah

Great.
Do please these steps to change the phone for the code :

  1. Tap the profile icon or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Tap three lines in the top right, then tap Settings.
  3. Tap "Security", then tap "Two-factor authentication"
  4. If two-factor authentication is already on, tap next to "Text message"
  5. Instead of entering a code, tap "Change phone number" below "Next"
  6. Enter the new phone number you’d like to use, then tap "Next"
  7. You'll be sent a text message to the new phone number with a 6-digit security code. Enter the code in the Instagram app, then tap Next.
  8. You'll see a list of recovery codes. Tap Done to complete the two-factor authentication process.
