I use quicken 7 with wallet checks.

The printing is 1/4 inch to high. How can I fix this?

Nice to meet you, *****!
What is the program you've mentioned?

Customer Replay

I've used quicken ince 2007. I use wallet checks now and the printing is 1/4 in to high on the page

It's Quicken Premier 2007, am I right?

Thanks. Bit just to make it clear, we are Howly - an online expert question and answer website that connects users with verified technical experts that can assist with any tech-related issue.
We're not affiliated with Quicken, we provide assistance regarding issues on the platform, but we don't have access to their databases, and therefore, can't change anything from our side

I started using in 2004

Awesome! Must admit, you're a loyal customer
As to your problem, what troubleshooting have you done so far?

Customer Replay

Why did they send me to you? I told them what my problem was and they said you could help.
I've looked everywhere for check alignment, but cant find anything.

That's a good question but I have no answer for it. We do provide help with tech-related questions so I will do my best to help with it

Thank you

But I just want everything to be clear, we're not Quicken so I will not be able to change something in it for you
Have you tried to reboot your printer, btw?

Customer Replay

Many times. This has been going on for a long time

One more thing, are you printing Quicken-compatible checks?

Customer Replay

yes

Got it. Let's try that:

  1. In Quicken, choose File > Print Checks.
  2. Select the Adjust Alignment checkbox.
Customer Replay

It won't let me. I have no checks to print

I see. We will not be able to check that without printing, right? As it is all good on the screen, the problem occurs only when printing?

Customer Replay

I made a check to print

Can you please try to align it and print it?

Customer Replay

I got to check printer setup. Then to align

Are you able to edit it?

Customer Replay

They both say 0. I went on vertical & I think I should change that . It says to move the text in 1/100 inch increments. Im about 1/4 inch to high on the check.

Please try to move it by 1/4 inch for now

Customer Replay

I changed it to a 5 and it's way to hich now

Try again and again if needed

Customer Replay

Now I'm going down -15. Perfect!!! Thank you so much for your help.

I’m glad I was able to get that sorted out for you. Is there anything else I can assist you with today?

Customer Replay

No thanks. You made my day. Wanted to do this long ago and didn't know how.

I am so pleased to see your issue got resolved!
