Vitalii Yovko: What is the program you’ve mentioned?

Customer: I’ve used quicken ince 2007. I use wallet checks now and the printing is 1/4 in to high on the page

Vitalii Yovko: It’s Quicken Premier 2007, am I right?

Customer: yes

Customer: ok

Vitalii Yovko: ????
Vitalii Yovko: Have you tried to reboot your printer btw?

Customer: Many times. This has been going on for a long time

Vitalii Yovko: One more thing, are you printing Quicken-compatible checks?

Customer: yes

Vitalii Yovko: Got it. Let’s try that:

  1. In Quicken, choose File > Print Checks.
  2. Select the Adjust Alignment checkbox.

Customer: It won’t let me. I have no checks to print

Vitalii Yovko: I see. We will not be able to check that without printing, right? As it is all good on the screen, the problem occurs only when printing?

Customer: I made a check to print

Vitalii Yovko: Can you please try to align it and print it?

Customer: I got to check printer setup. Then to align

Vitalii Yovko: Are you able to edit it?

Customer: They both say 0. I went on vertical & I think I should change that . It says to move the text in 1/100 inch increments.
Customer: Im about 1/4 inch to high on the check.

Vitalii Yovko: Please try to move it by 1/4 inch for now

Customer: I changed it to a 5 and it’s way to hich now

Vitalii Yovko: Try again and again if needed

Customer: Now I’m going down -15. Perfect!!! Thank you so much for your help.

Vitalii Yovko: I’m glad I was able to get that sorted out for you. Is there anything else I can assist you with today?

Customer: No thanks. You made my day. Wanted to do this long ago and didn’t know how.

Vitalii Yovko: I am so pleased to see your issue got resolved!
