I ma setting up my new tv and trying to enter my optus modem password, however, I can find any way of using the hand console to ender the password

Short summary:

  1. Remove wireless devices: Disconnect any wireless devices connected to the TV via USB port.
  2. Reset the remote: Press and hold the power button on the remote for 20 seconds, then release it. Remove and reinsert the batteries.
  3. Power cycle the modem/router: Unplug the power cable from the modem/router, wait for 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cable and turn it on.

Can you see the circle that is located on the three dots "..." on the keyboard? Does it move when you press the arrows on the remote?

Good.
Please try to press and hold the power button on the remote for 20 seconds and then release it to reset it.
Also, you could remove and reinsert batteries. If by any chance you've had the remote for a while you may need new batteries, even if still seems functional.

In this case, try to unplug the power cable to your modem/router and wait about 60 seconds. Reconnect the power cable to your modem/router and make sure it's turned on. Wait until the device is finished making it's connection to the internet and your network. After that try again, please.

All done and still the same story. Can you tell me the function keys on the console that allows me to enter word and numbers
everything is working properly it is just how to use the console to enter data...there must be some specific keys to push etc.

And the remote works fine, right?
