I have installed 2 different sets of ink cartridges in my printer (951)and it says they are damaged

i got them at wal mart

1 or more of the cartridges are damaged replace with new ones. this is the second new set

I understand.
Your ink refiller should have installed a new replacement chip onto the refilled cartridge– see pictures below. If the chip is missing then return to your refiller for replacement chip installation.

Verify the cartridge’s smart chip is positioned properly as shown below and ensure gold contacts are thoroughly clean with no visible damage to chip surfaces. Thoroughly clean with lint free towel and isopropyl alcohol as necessary.

I'd recommend going to Walmart and trying to replace those cartridges.

I have taken the first set back they really didn't want to replace them because they were open, I guess its possible I could get 2 bad sets. I usually get them at Office Depot

If you want to get a refund, you need to go to Walmart with a receipt.

They will replace them but want refund my money because they have been open.
They have replaced them once.

Unfortunately, we don't have any influence on them.

COULD IT BE A PROBLEM WITH THE PRINTER IT WAS WORKING GREAT UNTIL WE CHANGED THE INK

If it worked fine before, most likely, this is a cartridge issue.
And you don't have this error with old ones.
