Please, follow the instructions below:

  1. Press and hold the Back and Menu buttons on the Fire TV Remote for about then seconds and it should rectify the underlying issue.
  2. Next up, unplug it from the power outlet as well and wait for 3 minutes.
  3. Then replug it into the power outlet.
  4. Likewise, plug it back into the HDMI port on your TV as well.
  5. Now check if it fixes the Amazon Fire TV Stick being stuck on the “Downloading the latest software” screen.
