  2. Search for Device Manager, and click the top result to open the app.
  3. Expand the Imaging devices, Cameras or the Sound, video, and game controllers branch.
  4. Check the camera appears in the list to confirm that Windows 10 is detecting it.

In what software you use your Web Camera?

Let's reset your camera settings, follow this:

  1. Open Windows Settings.
  2. Go to Devices> Cameras.
  3. Find the webcam you need in the list and left-click on it.
  4. Select Configure.
  5. On the next page, scroll down and click the Restore defaults button. Windows will apply the default settings without additional warning or action.

When I do what you instruct me to do it covers up the chat. is there a way to put the chat to the side?

You can attach browser window to right or left side and open settings in another window

No, the top side of your browser where is Tab located

The Tab is at the top of screen. It says Chat. When I pull that to the side it moves then returns to where it was.

  2. Enter Device manager, and when it shows in search results, click to open.
  3. Go to Imaging devices and click on the arrow on the left side to reveal your cam name.

Did so. It said device is working.

  1. Now, right-click on the web camera and click on Properties.

  1. Open the Driver tab and select Update driver if your driver needs updating, or, just click Update driver after right-clicking.

  1. If you want to uninstall the driver, after Step 3, right-click on the cam name and choose Uninstall device.

  1. In a pop-up window, select the box and click on Uninstall to confirm your choice.
    After the driver is uninstalled, restart the laptop. It should reinstall the driver automatically, so check if the camera is working now.

Just took photo of all your instructions and will follow them. It will pobably take some time. The chat will be covered. So I won't be able to tell you I'm still with you, if you ask.
