So your Garmin watch vibrates and displays a notification as you take steps, right?
no it vibrates while on th etable charging, or when on my wrist stting still

I can return to the main display but again it in a while does the same

Let's try this:
- Open the Garmin Connect app.
- Select Black box with three blue horizontal lines all notifications are now disabled
Do I return to you if the problem is still re-occuring? As of now I have to wait and see
what about push notifications?

Let's try without disabling push notifications, but if the problem continues to exist, you can also disable it.
