- Open the Messenger app.

- Tap Username. It's one of the first options below your profile picture.
- Tap Edit Username. This option will pop up at the bottom of the screen.
- Type in a new username (write wife’s name ).
- Tap Save. It's in the top right corner of the screen. You have successfully changed your Facebook Messenger username!

Well, the profile names in messengers are connected to your Facebook accounts. Do you have separate accounts with your wife? I mean, one should be for you, one for her.
can’t change again for 60 days, but you can reverse new order or switch back to previous name
'can’t change again for 60 days' this means the name change was successful.
Because Facebook allows changing the name once for 60 days.
Not sure of above. I think she was just a separate file under my name. I.e. we had 75 separate files , one of which was my name and another her name

You can hold down the link for a second or two and click "Copy link" The open the Messages app on your phone and paste the link in the chat with your wife to send it to the iPhone 6.
I have done all that I think but can’t find the message ap on the 6 On the RX message ap it is in a message with her email address
And, using the iPhone 6 and Facebook account of your wife on the same phone, have you done this?:
- Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.
- Select Settings & privacy, then click Settings.
- Click Name.
- Enter your name and click Review Change.
- Enter your password and click Save Changes.
At this point our options may only be to go back to the previous name or reverse the new name I tried that didn’t work
