Adding (uploading) GIFs to Facebook
Currently, in 2023, there are two basic ways to add animated images or gifs, to Facebook. The easiest one is to upload a file with a standard .gif extension to Facebook as you would upload a photo/image. The second option is to copy and paste a link to a file with a .gif extension that is based on any site. Let's study the second variant in more detail:
- After logging in to Facebook, go to the Status Update section.
- Then click on the button that allows you to upload photos, images, and videos.
- Select your .gif file and press the Open button.
- If you want to share a URL with a .gif extension, paste a link like "http://....com/gorsel.gif" in the "Write something" / "What do you think?" section and press the share button.
