Adding (uploading) GIFs to Facebook
Currently, in 2023, there are two basic ways to add animated images or gifs, to Facebook. The easiest one is to upload a file with a standard .gif extension to Facebook as you would upload a photo/image. The second option is to copy and paste a link to a file with a .gif extension that is based on any site. Let's study the second variant in more detail:
After logging in to Facebook, go to the Status Update section.
Then click on the button that allows you to upload photos, images, and videos.
Select your .gif file and press the Open button.
If you want to share a URL with a .gif extension, paste a link like "http://....com/gorsel.gif" in the "Write something" / "What do you think?" section and press the share button.
Adding gifs to Facebook has become very simple as compared to the past. Now you can upload your animated images to Facebook in a few clicks just like you would do for photos and videos.
